Day Centre

Our new Day Centre opens on the 20th July 2009 at The Church 210 Robins Lane St Helens WA9 3PQ this will be giving people of St Helens the opportunity of extra care. Many people who require care can be very lonely and rarely have stimulating, company we believe that we can make a difference to your lives by providing you with the facility to mix with others in similar situations. We offer our clients a wide choice of activities and services including transport to and from home. To be as accommodating as possible we will be open Monday to Friday 9am to 3.30pm and also offer one social evening per week.

Social activities available will include the following;

• Bingo Darts Cards Dominoes Draughts Daily newspapers Library Baking
• Reminiscence hour Televisions with variety of DVDs Cookery
• Music and sing along

Our daily fee will include minibus transportation to and from home and the standard package will include a light breakfast on arrival, cooked lunch with a choice from a daily menu an afternoon snack and beverage. We also offer the following this will be included in the daily package.

• A bath and hair washed and set
• Gentlemen can have a shave and have eyebrow and nasal hair trimmed
• For the ladies they can have there nails filed and polished

We have other treatments available at an extra cost ie Laundry facilities this enables our clients to have there laundry washed dried and ironed ready to take back home with them at the end of the day.

The centre is run by a qualified team from Care Assistants NVQ level 2 to qualified Beauty therapists and a Registered Manager there will be four people each day attending to all aspects of care they require.

The centre is based in a thoughtfully converted church and have the capacity to accommodate 15 clients. The building comprises of a large reception room. A fully equipped kitchen with dinning area, a comfortable television lounge, a beauty therapy room, two bathrooms, toilets and changing facilities. We have specific experience of dealing with people who have Alzheimer’s Dementia, MS and other physically medical conditions we will be catering for people over 18 years of age onwards.
